The summer school was an initiative of the GLOBED project. The GLOBED project is funded by the European Commission and developed by a consortium of five European universities – the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, the University of Oslo, the University of Malta, the University of Sarajevo and the University of Amsterdam – and aims to develop a master programme in Education Policies for Global Development. Within the framework of this project the summer school on June 6th and 7th engaged with a range of academic and practical issues, including the emergence and effects of global education policies, consultancy work in contexts of conflict, reflections on research ethics and research design strategies, methodological exercises and dialogue with practicioners.
